Yamaha Motor India has launched its maxi sports scooter, Aerox 155 in India at Rs. 1.29 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter is available in two colour options – Racing Blue and Grey Vermillion. In addition to the standard colours, Aerox 155 will also be available in Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition at an additional cost of Rs. 1500/-.
The scooter features LED headlights with DRLs, an LED taillight, a 5.5-litre fuel tank that sits between the footboards with an external fuel lid, a stepped single-piece seat with 24.5-litre under-seat storage, and a 5.8-inch LCD cluster with Multi-Information Display (MID) that has Bluetooth connectivity and USB charging sockets.
Power comes from a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder cylinder. The motor produces 15 PS of max power at 8,000rpm and 13.9 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission.
The Aerox 155 runs on 14-inch wheels with 110 mm (front) and 140 mm (rear) tubeless tyres, and braking is kept in check by a 230mm disc brake at the front with ABS as standard. It has a ground clearance of 145mm, and the scooter weighs 126kg.
