TVS Motor Company has announced the names of the 10 shortlisted women riders who will be participating in the Himalayan Highs Season 2. The selected women riders will ride along with Anam Hashim to the highest motorable road, the Khardung-La.
The Himalayan Highs season 1 was ridden by Anam Hashim on the TVS Scooty Zest 110 to Khardung-La, the highest motorable road, making the Scooty Zest, the first 110cc scooter to achieve this feat and earn a place in the India Book of Records.
The selection process for Himalayan Highs Season 2 had started in the month of June 2016 and saw about 50,000 enquires and over 2000 entries from women riders and enthusiasts across all the states of country and select union territories. The registrations concluded on 5th July. The contestants were then evaluated and shortlisted on the basis of the women’s psychographics, physical fitness, mental strength and above all riding skills.
“With a new season of Himalayan Highs, TVS Motor is making a strong statement on empowering women by giving them an opportunity to go live their dream” said Anam Hashim.
Megha Chakraborty, Kainoor Mistry, Roshni Somkuvar, Garima Kapoor, Ebronah Dorothy, Pallavi Fajdor, Antara Pal, Trupti Sarmalkar, Surbhi Tiwari and Shruti Naidu are the names of the 10 shortlisted women riders for the Himalayan Highs Season 2.
The selected women participants will ride a TVS Scooty Zest 110 of their favorite color while Anam Hashim will lead them all on a special Himalayan Highs edition of Scooty Zest.
The Himalayan Highs Season 2 will commence from 11th August 2016 from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.
