Suzuki is gearing up for the imminent launch of the V-Strom 800DE adventure motorcycle in India, slated to hit the market in a matter of days. The Japanese automaker had previously unveiled the V-Strom 800 DE at the Bharat Mobility Expo in February, utilizing the platform to gauge customer feedback and assess the anticipated pricing. Speculations suggest that Suzuki may introduce the model with an ex-showroom price range falling between Rs 10-11 lakh.

Powering the V-Strom 800DE is a robust 776cc parallel-twin engine, delivering an impressive output of 83bhp and 78Nm of torque. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the engine ensures a dynamic and responsive riding experience. Noteworthy features of the adventure motorcycle include a five-inch TFT display, traction control, multiple ride modes, and a bi-directional quickshifter.

Built on a new steel chassis, the V-Strom 800DE boasts a sophisticated suspension system comprising an adjustable USD fork at the front and a monoshock with a remote preload adjuster at the rear. Its agility and stability are further enhanced by 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, fitted with Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tires.

When it comes to aesthetics, the design ethos of the V-Strom 800DE draws inspiration from Suzuki’s heritage of adventure motorcycles, notably reminiscent of the iconic DR Big. Characterized by clean lines and purposeful contours, the bike exudes a harmonious blend of style and functionality.

The impending launch of the V-Strom 800DE marks Suzuki’s foray into the segment of larger displacement motorcycles after a considerable hiatus. With high expectations riding on its shoulders, the formidable adventure motorcycle is poised to compete head-to-head with formidable rivals such as the BMW 850 GS and the Triumph Tiger 900, setting the stage for an exhilarating showdown in the adventure biking arena.
