Skoda is gearing up to introduce a facelift for the Slavia sedan, but not before the mid-life update for the Kushaq SUV hits the market. The Slavia’s upcoming refresh will focus on cosmetic enhancements, feature upgrades, and the addition of a new automatic transmission.

Design and Feature Enhancements

The facelifted Slavia is expected to adopt design elements inspired by Skoda’s flagship sedans, the Superb and Octavia, known for their contemporary and elegant aesthetics. The updates will likely include a 360-degree camera for improved safety and upgraded connected car features to enhance the driving experience.

Interior changes could involve new trims and fresh color schemes, continuing Skoda’s tradition of updating interiors for a more premium feel. Additionally, the refreshed model is anticipated to receive the brand’s new automatic transmission paired with the 1.5-liter engine option, improving performance and efficiency.

Skoda’s Focus on SUVs

The Kushaq, a key player in Skoda’s lineup, has taken priority for updates due to its strong performance in the competitive mid-size SUV segment. As one of Skoda’s bestsellers, the Kushaq has a larger market impact compared to the Slavia.

Despite this, the Slavia remains a significant model for Skoda. It is the second most successful mid-size sedan in its segment, following closely behind its sibling, the Virtus, in sales as of October 2024. Launched in March 2022 as part of Skoda’s India 2.0 initiative, the Slavia comes with two engine options, multiple gearbox configurations, and styling choices such as the sporty Monte Carlo variant, exclusive to select markets.
