Revolt Motors has introduced its latest electric motorcycle, the RV1, marking the company’s most affordable model to date. The RV1 is available in two variants: the standard RV1 and the RV1 Plus, both of which offer a range of updated features.
The design of the RV1 is inspired by the current RV400 but features a distinct front end. Sporting a round LED headlight, the RV1 adopts a retro style that caters to a more commuter-focused audience. Buyers can choose from a variety of color options for the RV1.
The RV1 offers two battery options: a 2.2kWh battery and a 3.24kWh battery. The smaller battery provides a range of up to 100 kilometers, while the larger battery extends the range to approximately 160 kilometers. Despite these range options, both variants have a top speed capped at 70 km/h. Charging times differ based on the battery size, with the standard RV1 requiring about two hours and 15 minutes for a full charge, and the RV1 Plus taking around three hours and 30 minutes.
In terms of features, the RV1 comes equipped with an LED headlight, an LCD display, various ride modes, and fast charging capabilities. Its hardware setup includes telescopic front forks, dual rear springs, and disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, all mounted on alloy rims. Notably, the RV1 uses a conventional chain drive instead of a belt drive system.
The pricing for the Revolt RV1 is set at Rs. 74,990, while the RV1 Plus is available for Rs. 83,790 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). This new electric motorcycle is positioned to compete with models like the Oben Rorr in the electric two-wheeler market.
