Renault has come up with a new engine option in the Kwid and has launched the new 1.0L Kwid in India at Rs. 3.82 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 1.0L Kwid is powered by a 999cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine which develops 68 BHP and 91 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. An automatic (AMT), optional variant is said to join the Kwid’s line-up in the future.
The new 1.0L Kwid is offered only in the top RxT trim and also gets the option of a driver-side airbag like its younger sibling.
The difference between the exteriors of the 1.0L and 0.8L Kwid can be made out through the Two tone gloss grey ORVMs and 1.0L Designer Decals on the lower door panels. Rest everythingremains to be the same.
The interiors also remain unchanged and the new 1.0L Kwid borrows the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster from the 0.8L Kwid.
The Kwid 1.0L RxT is priced at Rs. 3.82 Lakhs and the airbag-equipped, Kwid 1.0L RxT (O) is priced at Rs. 3.95 lakhs, both prices – ex-showroom, Delhi.
