Nissan has commenced exports of the facelifted Magnite SUV to South Africa. During its launch, the automaker confirmed plans to export the model to various global markets from its Chennai manufacturing plant. Introduced in October 2024 at a starting price of ₹5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this marks the first major update for the Magnite since its initial release. We’ve had the opportunity to test drive the vehicle, and you can watch our detailed video review below.

Within just a month of its international launch in India, over 2,700 units of the updated Magnite SUV have been shipped from the Chennai port. Highlighting the car’s success, Nissan stated that the Magnite embodies its ‘Make-in-India, Make for the World’ vision. With cumulative sales surpassing 1,50,000 units since its debut in December 2020, the Magnite has significantly impacted both domestic and international markets.

Frank Torres, Divisional Vice President of the AMIEO Region Business Transformation and President of Nissan India Operations, shared his thoughts on the occasion:
“Since the launch of the Nissan Magnite in 2020, we’ve experienced tremendous acceptance and demand for this Made-in-India compact SUV in the South African market. Balancing domestic and export markets is a critical component of our growth strategy. The export of the new Magnite underscores India’s role as a vital export hub and reinforces Nissan’s expansion in the AMIEO region. This success reflects our ‘One Car, One World’ philosophy, driving growth for Nissan globally.”

The updated Magnite, with its global appeal and strong market performance, continues to solidify Nissan’s position in the compact SUV segment, further advancing its commitment to Indian manufacturing and international exports.
