Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, has officially started bookings for the new Dzire today. With the launch set for next week, details regarding the different variants and technical specifications of the updated model have emerged online.

The 2024 Maruti Dzire will be powered by the familiar 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, available with both five-speed manual and AGS (Automated Gear Shift) transmissions. This engine produces a respectable 80bhp and 112Nm of torque.

Customers will have a choice of four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Importantly, all variants will feature the Idle Start-Stop (ISS) technology, enhancing fuel efficiency. In terms of dimensions, the compact sedan measures 3,995mm in length, 1,735mm in width, and 1,525mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,450mm. Its Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is rated at 1,375kg.

Upon its debut on November 11, the new Dzire will compete with models such as the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor. This third-generation Dzire will introduce a segment-first electric sunroof and will be equipped with new LED headlamps, a revamped grille with horizontal slats, stylish new alloy wheels, and updated LED taillights. Additional features will include automatic cruise control, climate control, a blind-spot monitor, and a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system.
