MG Motor India is preparing to introduce the updated version of its flagship SUV, the Gloster. Recent sightings of the test mule have provided insights into the changes, and new images reveal exciting details about the facelift.

The refreshed Gloster will feature a more robust and upright front fascia. It will showcase sleek LED daytime running lights that integrate seamlessly into a wider grille with horizontal slats, complemented by vertically stacked split LED headlamps and a sculpted bonnet.

From the side, the Gloster facelift will sport a new set of alloy wheels, maintaining a similar silhouette to the current model. At the rear, significant updates include redesigned taillights connected by a light bar, a revamped rear bumper, and slight modifications to the tailgate.

In terms of features, the Gloster remains the most feature-rich model in its class. The facelift will retain a host of premium amenities, including a large floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, a wireless charger, a 360-degree surround camera, a panoramic sunroof, and a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite.

Mechanically, the Gloster facelift will retain the same powertrain as its predecessor, featuring a 2.0-litre diesel engine available in both turbo and twin-turbo configurations, paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Upon its launch, the updated MG Gloster aims to capture market share from competitors like the Toyota Fortuner, as well as rivaling the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and Hyundai Tucson.
