MG has unveiled the refreshed Astor Blackstorm edition in India, with prices starting at ₹13.44 lakh for the manual transmission (MT) variant and ₹14.45 lakh for the automatic transmission (AT) variant. The model is exclusively powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, featuring mainly design and feature upgrades.
On the exterior, the Astor Blackstorm stands out with its sleek all-black honeycomb-pattern grille, black-finished headlamps, black alloy wheels accented by red front brake calipers, and glossy black door trims. Additionally, the car proudly displays a ‘Blackstorm’ emblem on the front fenders.
Inside, the cabin exudes sophistication with its tuxedo-style black upholstery, complemented by red stitching and ‘Blackstorm’ red embroidery on the front seat headrests. This special edition is available with both manual and automatic transmission options—the MT variant features a five-speed gearbox, while the AT version comes with a CVT.
The Astor Blackstorm edition joins MG’s lineup of special models, alongside the Hector Snowstorm edition. Competitors are also enhancing their offerings, with Tata releasing a Red Dark edition of the Nexon EV and an ICE version expected to debut soon.
