Mercedes-Benz is all set for the upcoming 13th Auto Expo and has announced its line-up for the same. Mercedes will unveil and showcase the GLC and India-bound S-Class Cabriolet to the audience at the Auto Expo along with its standard range of on-sale cars in India.
As the name suggests, the GLC is based on the C-Class and has a front fascia matching to the C-Class. The GLC also gets a similar interior as of the C-Class with a single flowing centre console, instrument binnacle, touchpad, air vents and the latest version of COMAND Online Infotainment system.
The Indian version of the GLC will get two diesel variants, the 2.1L, in-line 4, 220d which produces 168 BHP and the 2.1L, in-line 250d which produces 201 BHP.
The gorgeous S-Class Cabriolet will also be unveiled there. The S-Class Cabriolet will mark the return of the drop-top S-Class model which was phased out in 1971. The S-Class Cabriolet’s styling is similar to its S-Class coupé version, with same length and width measurements. the only difference in both the coupé and cabriole models will be a sot-top. The soft-top of the S-Class Convertible, is the longest amongst any of the Mercedes cars and can be opened or closed electrically within 20 seconds at speeds up to 60 km/h.
The S-Class Cabriolet gets a 7L V8 BiTurbo engine which produces 449 BHP and 700 Nm of torque (S550 Cabriolet); or a hand-built AMG 5.5L V8 BiTurbo engine which produces 577 BHP and 900 Nm of torque (AMG S63 4MATIC Cabriolet).
At the Auto Expo, the company will also showcase the highly customized and exclusive Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard and the Mercedes AMG F1 team’s FIA World Championship Winning F1 W06 Hybrid car.
Mercedes-Benz will be there at the Auto Expo at Hall 15.
