Mercedes-Benz has exciting plans for its Q2 launches in FY 25, with the introduction of the AMG S 63 e-Performance sedan and AMG C 63 e-Performance F1 Edition in India. These additions will expand the AMG lineup in India to a total of nine models upon their release.
The AMG S 63 e-Performance is set to elevate Mercedes’ top-end vehicle offerings, presenting a high-performance variant of the S-Class sedan. Notable exterior features include an AMG-specific grille, 20-inch alloys, and distinctive trapezoidal tailpipes at the rear. Inside, the AMG S 63 e-Performance boasts all the luxurious elements of the new-generation S-Class, enhanced with AMG touches such as embossed upholstery and graphics on the digital instrument cluster.
Under the hood, the AMG S 63 e-Performance is powered by a formidable 4.0-litre V8 hybrid engine producing a staggering 791bhp and 1430Nm of torque. This powerhouse is coupled with a nine-speed AMG speedshift DCT transmission, an electric motor, and a 13.1kWh battery providing an electric range of 33km. The 4Matic all-wheel-drive system ensures efficient power delivery, propelling the car from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.5 seconds.
Moving to the AMG C 63 e-Performance F1 Edition, this model inherits design elements from the latest-generation C-Class but with distinctive upgrades including a matte paint scheme and AMG grille. The interior is adorned with black Nappa leather upholstery featuring AMG logos on the seats and seat belts, as well as F1 logos on the floor mats and exterior.
Powering the AMG C 63 e-Performance F1 Edition is a hybrid 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing an impressive 671bhp and 1020Nm of torque. This model boasts a top speed of 280kmph and accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in a swift 3.3 seconds. Notably, 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the C63’s introduction in India, underscoring its enduring popularity as one of the longest-running AMG models in the Indian market since Mercedes’ AMG debut in late 2010. These new AMG offerings promise unparalleled performance and luxury, continuing Mercedes-Benz’s legacy of excellence in the high-performance segment.
