The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has been spotted undergoing testing in the country, this time equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite. Recent spy shots circulating online reveal a partially camouflaged test vehicle, providing a glimpse of this new feature.
As observed in the images, the Fronx features an ADAS sensor integrated into its front grille, a component absent in the current India-spec model. This suggests that Maruti Suzuki is potentially considering introducing this technology in the domestic market, particularly to compete with rivals like the Toyota Taisor.
Recently, Maruti Suzuki began exporting the Fronx to the Japanese market, which is currently the only region where the Baleno-based model comes with an ADAS suite. Additionally, the automaker is working on incorporating this feature into the Grand Vitara, a development that was showcased at the previous Auto Expo. As of now, Maruti does not offer an ADAS suite in any of its vehicles sold in India.
