Maruti Suzuki introduced the eVX electric SUV at the 2023 Auto Expo, showcasing its innovative approach to electric mobility. This was followed by an updated version presented at the Japan Mobility Show last year. Now, Maruti Suzuki has announced the timeline for the eVX’s production-ready debut.
The production version of the Suzuki eVX is set to be unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in Delhi. Following its debut, the eVX will first launch in the European market, with its introduction in India scheduled for the first half of 2025. As Maruti Suzuki’s inaugural all-electric vehicle, the eVX will enter the competitive mid-size electric SUV segment, facing rivals such as the Hyundai Creta EV, Honda Elevate EV, MG ZS EV, and Tata Curvv EV.
While Maruti Suzuki has yet to disclose the technical specifications of the 2025 eVX, it is anticipated that the SUV will feature a 60kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor driving the front wheels. This setup is expected to offer a claimed range of up to 550km on a full charge. In terms of design and features, the eVX might include split LED headlamps, large alloy wheels, rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar, electrically adjustable front seats, a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 360-degree camera, a floating center console, and a rotary dial for selecting drive modes.
