Mahindra has officially launched its much-awaited SUV, the Thar Roxx, also known as the five-door Thar, in August this year. Following several updates over the past few months, the automaker has now commenced deliveries of the vehicle.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available in six variants: MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L, and AX7L. Customers can also choose from seven distinct colors, including Stealth Black, Tango Red, Everest White, Deep Forest, Nebula Blue, Battleship Grey, and Burnt Sienna, offering a variety of personalization options.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Thar Roxx offers two engine choices—a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel—both available in multiple states of tune. These engines are paired with six-speed manual or torque converter automatic transmissions. Buyers can opt for either 4×2 or 4×4 drive systems, enhancing the SUV’s versatility.
Exterior and Interior Features
The 2024 Thar Roxx boasts several exterior upgrades, including LED projector headlamps, a redesigned multi-slat grille, dual-tone alloy wheels, squared LED taillights, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, and rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar for easier access.
Inside, the SUV comes well-equipped with a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully digital color instrument cluster, an ADAS suite, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, and a 65W USB Type-C charging port, offering a modern and comfortable driving experience.
