Kia has officially revealed the name of its latest B-SUV for India, which will be called the Syros. Positioned above the popular Sonet in Kia India’s lineup, the Syros marks the third release under the Kia 2.0 initiative, aimed at expanding and diversifying Kia’s offerings for Indian customers.
The teaser for the Syros showcases its standout design, featuring vertically stacked LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and LED headlamps, adding a sleek, modern touch to the exterior. Certain variants are expected to come equipped with advanced features, including a blind spot monitor and an optional 360-degree camera, enhancing driver assistance and safety.
Based on spy images, the 2024 Syros is expected to include distinctive styling elements like two-piece LED taillights, machine-finished alloy wheels, and flush door handles for a streamlined look. The interior is anticipated to offer high-end amenities, including dual 10.25-inch screens, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), cruise control, automatic climate control, wireless charging, and more, ensuring a premium driving experience.
While Kia has yet to disclose the engine specifications, reports suggest that the Syros will likely be powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine. It is expected to come with a choice of a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission. The launch is anticipated in the coming months, marking a new chapter for Kia’s B-SUV lineup in India.
