Kia India introduced the X-Line variant of the Carens in October 2023, starting at Rs. 18.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, the carmaker has unveiled the matte finish version of this three-row MPV. Notably, this marks Kia’s third model, following the Seltos and Sonet, to receive the X-Line treatment.
Based on the top-spec Luxury Plus variant, the primary change on the Carens X-Line is the exclusive Matte Graphite exterior paint shade. Additionally, it features a glossy black finish on the front grille, rear skid plate, ORVMs, and side door garnish. The vehicle rides on 16-inch machine-finished dual-tone alloy wheels with silver brake calipers.
Inside, the Carens X-Line offers two interior themes – Sage Green and black. Additionally, it comes with a rear-seat entertainment package for the LHS rear passenger, featuring podcasts, a news app, screen mirroring, and various entertainment apps.
Kia provides the Carens X-Line with two powertrain options. These include a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generating 158bhp and 253Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel mill producing 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. The former is paired with a seven-speed DCT unit, while the latter comes with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
