Jaguar has launched its first-ever performance SUV, the F-PACE in India from Rs. 68.40 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The prices were already announced by the company a few days before and now they have finally launched it in India at a spectacular event at Marine Drive, Mumbai.
The F-PACE is a performance SUV based on the DNA of the Jaguar’s sportscar, the F-TYPE. Many of the design clues are inspired from the F-TYPE and the F-PACE looks sporty and muscular with its bold stance. The F-Pace features Jaguar’s signature J-Blade DRLs with adaptive LED headlights. At the rear, the taillights completely resemble to that of the F-TYPE’s lights.
The F-PACE is available in four variants in India – Pure, Prestige, R-Sport and First Edition.
The car is offered in the choices of two diesel engines and the petrol variant is not on offer as of now. The new lightweight 2L, turbocharged Ingenium diesel engine produces 177 BHP and 430 Nm of torque and achieves a top speed of 208 km/h. It does the 0-100 km/h sprint in 8.7 seconds. The 3L, V6, turbocharged diesel engine produces 296 BHP and 700 Nm of torque. It does 0-100 km/h sprint in only 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 241 km/h. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The First Edition is the top-end variant of the F-PACE and is a limited edition which boasts the 3L, V6, turbocharged diesel engine. It draws inspiration from the CX-17 concept car and is offered in two colours – Caesium Blue or Regal Halycon Gold. Rhodium Silver and Ultimate Black is also offered.
On the technology front, the F-PACE features an Activity Key, a very unique feature that is like a wristband which can be worn. It helps you to lock and unlock the car. It is fully waterproof and you can simply enjoy your outdoor games from swimming to skydiving by wearing it. Then the other great technology in this car is the Torque Vectoring system which keeps the car stable in the tightest of corners.
Bookings of the F-PACE have begun at all the 23 authorized Jaguar dealerships across the country and the car can also be booked from the new online portal – www.findmeacar.in.
