Hyundai Alcazar facelift launched

Hyundai recently unveiled the facelifted version of the Alcazar in India, with prices starting from Rs. 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This refreshed three-row SUV competes with popular models like the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus.

The updated Alcazar retains its robust engine options, including the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine delivers 158bhp and 253Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. Buyers can choose from a range of transmission options: six-speed manual, six-speed torque converter automatic, and a seven-speed DCT. Additionally, the SUV is available in both six- and seven-seat configurations.

Hyundai has expanded the Alcazar’s colour options, with nine shades on offer. These include Robust Emerald, Starry Night, Ranger Khakhi, Fiery Red, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Atlas White with a black roof, Titan Grey Matte, and Robust Emerald Matte. The facelift is available in four trims: Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. Below is a breakdown of the features in the entry-level Executive variant of the 2024 Alcazar:

  • Safety: Six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, seatbelt reminder, speed alert system, ESC, VSM, HAC, TPMS, rear disc brakes, reverse parking camera.
  • Exterior: LED headlamps, DRLs, taillights, light bars, 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates, side sill garnish, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, rear spoiler, roof rails, twin-tip exhaust, and conventional antenna.
  • Interior: Dual-tone theme, fabric upholstery, ambient lighting, flat-bottom steering wheel, height-adjustable headrests for all rows, height-adjustable driver’s seat, sliding and reclining second-row seats, and a 50:50 split for the third-row seats with reclining function.
  • Convenience: Smart key with push-button start, dual-zone climate control, sliding front armrest with storage, front seatback table with retractable cup holders, rear centre armrest (for seven-seat variants), rear window sunshade, and tilt-telescopic adjustable steering.
  • Tech & Comfort: Electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, AC vents with speed control in both the second and third rows, USB Type-C charging ports for all three rows, power windows, cooled glove-box, idle stop-and-go function, and electric tailgate release.
  • Infotainment: Digital instrument cluster with coloured MID.
