Revealed at the Auto expo earlier this year (2014), Tata Bolt hatchback is a new product to be offered by Tata Motors after 5 years.
Tata Bolt is a new hatchback created by Tata Motors under its Falcon programme. The car was showcased along with its sedan version, the Tata Zest.
As it was said that this car would be launched after its sedan version, the Zest, which has already been launched by the company, now its time for the Bolt to be launched.
As this car was spied testing with camouflage a several times before, today the Tata Bolt was caught testing in Pune without any Camouflage.
The car was caught in Red colour, which looked brilliant showing-off everything. The new car is based on existing platforms on which Vista and Manza are built. Tata Bolt will be built at Tata Motor’s Pimpri-Chinchwad plant alongside the Tata Vista and the Tata Indica.
The car will be offered in two variants: The Revotron 1.2T engine(Petrol version) and the Quadrajet engine (Diesel version) and the car is scheduled to be launched in November this year.
Revotron 1.2T Engine (Petrol version):
The Revotron 1.2T has a four-cylinder, turbocharged, intercooled, multi-point fuel injected (MPFI) petrol motor which is the first of its kind to be developed in India. The 1.2-litre petrol motor develops 85PS at 5,000rpm and 140Nm of torque at 1,750-3,500rpm. Raw power. Superior performance.
Quadrajet Engine (Diesel version): (same as which is used in Manza and Indica Vista)
The 1.3-litre diesel motor develops 75PS at 5,000rpm and 190Nm of torque at 1,750-3,500rpm.
Tata Bolt to be India’s cheapest diesel automatic vehicle to be offered.
