Benelli is gearing up to replace its 502cc ADV bike lineup with a slightly larger, 552cc range. Recently unveiled in China, the TRK 552 and TRK 552X promise significant upgrades in engine capacity, hardware, and potentially, new features. Here’s what we know so far.
The new Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X maintain the design elements of their predecessor, the 502. They feature split LED headlights, a distinctive front beak, transparent visor, aluminum brace-equipped handle guards, split seats, and an upswept exhaust. Moreover, the TRK 552 range offers multiple color options to choose from.
While specific details on the TRK 552 range are limited, it’s confirmed to come with full LED lighting, a fully digital console, ABS, and likely smartphone connectivity. Unlike its predecessor, which houses a 500cc engine, the new TRK 552 series boasts a 549cc twin-cylinder motor paired with a six-speed gearbox.
In terms of hardware, both new Benelli models receive adjustable front forks and a monoshock, enhancing ride quality. Braking components include dual front and a single rear disc with J. Juan calipers, all linked to spoke wheels fitted with dual-purpose tires.
Currently, the Benelli TRK 502 and TRK 502X are priced at Rs. 5.85 lakh and Rs. 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. With the significant upgrades offered by the TRK 552 range, enthusiasts can expect a higher price tag for these advanced models.
