Bajaj is all set to unveil its highly awaited CNG motorcycle on July 5. Dubbed the world’s first production CNG bike, this innovative two-wheeler is expected to be named the Bajaj Bruzer and will likely be launched in two variants.

Design and Features

The Bajaj CNG bike has been spotted during testing multiple times, and the images have revealed several key details. The design effectively blends form and function, as seen in the shape of the fuel tank, the long seat, and the minimal body panels. This practical yet stylish design aims to appeal to a broad range of riders.

The blueprints of the Bajaj CNG bike showcase a unique chassis setup. Bajaj has optimized space by positioning the CNG tank along the length of the bike and employing a ‘sloper’ engine design. In addition to the CNG tank, a small petrol tank is also included to offer extra range and act as a backup in case the CNG runs out.

Engine and Performance

While the exact engine specifications are still under wraps, rumors suggest that the bike could be equipped with a 125cc commuter engine paired with a five-speed gearbox. This setup aims to provide a balance between performance and fuel efficiency, catering to the needs of daily commuters.

Variants

Bajaj is expected to launch the CNG bike in two distinct variants. One variant will be tailored for urban areas, providing a smooth and efficient ride on city roads. The other variant will be a more rugged version designed for rural areas. This version will feature a sump guard, knuckle guard, and a handlebar brace to withstand rough and challenging terrains.

Pricing and Availability

Bajaj is likely to reveal the price of the CNG bike at the unveiling event. Industry insiders suggest that the bike will be priced around Rs 80,000, ex-showroom. This competitive pricing aims to make the CNG bike an attractive option for a wide range of consumers, from urban commuters to rural riders.

The Bajaj CNG bike represents a significant step forward in motorcycle technology, combining environmental consciousness with practical design and performance. As the world’s first production CNG motorcycle, it is poised to set a new standard in the industry and could pave the way for more eco-friendly two-wheelers in the future.
