Porsche has expanded its 911 range in India by launching the new 911 GT3 at Rs. 2.31 crore (ex-showroom, India). The 911 GT3 gets a naturally aspirated engine and is a more driver-focused version of the 911.
As far as its design is concerned, the 911 GT3 differentiates itself by newly designed front and rear bumpers, newly designed air intake scoops, a carbon rear wing which now stands 20mm higher and many carbon-fiber bits. On the inside, it gets a GT sports steering wheel which originates from the 918 Spyder.
The engine is naturally aspirated, 4L, flat six which produces 500 BHP and 460 Nm of torque and is a carbon version of that found in the 911 GT3 Cup. All the power is sent to its rear wheels and Porsche offers it in a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and a six-speed manual transmission.
With Porsche Communication Management, standard equipment on the car also includes the Connect PlusModule and the Track Precision app which enables the driver to display, record and analyse driving data on their smartphone (compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay).
Porsche’s optional ClubSport package includes a roll cage, a red six-point seat belt for the driver and fire extinguisher to make it track-ready. The standard Alacantara leather-finished seats are 18-way adjustable and the full bucket seats are made out of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CRPF).
