Kawasaki has launched the other variant of Ninja ZX-10R, the Ninja ZX-10RR in India at a price tag of Rs. 21.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune).
The bike was first showcased at 2016 Intermot show and this limited edition superbike will be made available in only one color scheme, the Winter Edition Black.
The Ninja ZX-10RR is designed as a single-seat superbike and gets no rear seat and rear foot-peg mounts. It gets a lightweight exhaust mount and all these contribute to the weight reduction of the superbike. The windscreen and the rear-seat cover/cowl get the Kawasaki Racing Team Winter Test Snowflake logos.
Over the standard variant, the newer things on this superbike are race-ready engine with increased engine case strength, increased cam clearance, Diamond like coated tappets to reduce mechanical power loss, new 7-spoke multi-directional forged aluminium Marchesini wheels and an updated bi-directional Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) for clutchless downshifts.
The bike also gets electronic rider aids like Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM), Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), Kawasaki Sport Traction Control (S-KTRC), Kawasaki Engine Braking Control, Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) (upshift & downshift, over 2500 RPM), Kawasaki Corner Management Function (KCMF).
This superbike is powered by a powerful 998cc, in-line 4-cylinder, 16 valves, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine which is mated to a 6-speed return-shift gearbox. It produces 210 PS of power at 13,000 RPM.
The tyres are Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP, 120/70 R-17 and 190/55 R-17 at front and rear respectively. The bike gets 330 mm Brembo dual semi floating discs up front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear.
This Ninja ZX-10RR is a limited edition superbike whose only 500 units will be made available globally.
