Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd. (JLRIL) launched its flagship luxury saloon, the 2016 Jaguar XJ in India with prices starting from Rs. 98.03 lakhs (ex-showroom, pre-octroi, Mumbai).
The new Jaguar XJ is launched in following derivatives in India:
1. Jaguar XJ 2.0L (237.36 BHP) Petrol Portfolio: Rs. 99.23 Lakhs
2. Jaguar XJ 3.0L (296.36 BHP) Diesel Premium Luxury: Rs. 98.03 Lakhs
3. Jaguar XJ 3.0L (296.36 BHP) Diesel Portfolio : Rs 1.05 Crores

The XJ gets a newly remodeled front which includes upright front grille design with mesh detail. The car also gets full-LED headlights with Jaguar’s unique ‘Double J’ DRLs. On the side the windows get all-chrome outline. At the rear, remodeling continues with rear elliptical tailpipes, a revised bumper design and new LED tail lights.
The New Jaguar XJ gets a choice of 237.36 BHP turbocharged petrol engine and 296.36 BHP turbocharged diesel engine. The new Jaguar 3L turbocharged diesel engine produces 296.36 BHP of power and max. torque of 700 Nm is capable of doing 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. It returns a fuel efficiency of 14.47 km/l.
The 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine produces 237.36 BHP ans a max. torque of 340 Nm. This engine can do 0-100 km/h sprint in in 7.9 seconds and it returns a mileage of 9.43 km/l.
Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The car, both the petrol and diesel variants come equipped with the MeridianTM 825W Digital Surround Sound System which uses 20 speakers including 2 subwoofers.
