Delhi, 14th April 2015: Bajaj Auto today announced the launch of its much anticipated Pulsar Adventure Sport range of sports bikes. The Adventure Sport has been launched in 2 variants – the Pulsar AS 200 and AS 150. The Pulsar Adventure Sport series embodies unparallel power and alpha male muscular styling to tame any distance or terrain.
Pulsar Adventure Sport targets youth and young working segments. It’s a great city sports bike which is designed to also gear up for long distance weekend rides. It offers world class styling and performance which is unmatched by any other competition bike
The Pulsar Adventure Sport comes with a distinct style combining a muscular fairing and extended visor, both of which help it tackle long distance riding and wind resistance with aplomb. It is mounted on a perimeter frame with a monoshock absorber to provide rock solid stability and control at high speeds. The sturdy styling is only matched with its power delivery. The AS200 and AS150 belt out 23.5 and 17 PS of power respectively which makes them more powerful than any other competition bike in their category.

Both Adventure Sports bikes come with projector headlamps which is another first in the segment. The Pulsar AS 200 comes with a 199.5 cc Triple Spark, 4-Valve Liquid Cooled DTSi engine, delivering 23.5 PS @ 9500 RPM of power and 18.35 NM torque.
The Pulsar AS 150 will run on a 149.5 cc Twin Spark, 4-Valve Air Cooled DTSi engine which will churn out an industry leading 17 PS of power at 9500 RPM.
The Pulsar AS 200 will be priced at Rs 91,550 and the Pulsar AS 150 at Rs 79,000 (both Ex Showroom N. Delhi) and will be available across all Bajaj Auto dealerships. They are available in three colours – Red, Black and Blue.
The Pulsar has enjoyed nearly 14 years of continuous leadership in the Sports segment thanks to its focus on outstanding product design and its superior engine technology. It has complete dominance in the 150cc+ segment with the Pulsar 220, Pulsar NS 200, the recently launched Pulsar RS 200 and of course the Pulsar 180, 150 and 135. Together the Pulsar range sells 57,000 unit’s every-month in the domestic market with a dominant market share of 43%.
