Maruti Suzuki is set to unveil its first production-ready electric SUV, the e Vitara, at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Previously known as the eVX, this all-electric SUV was showcased earlier this year, and its debut at the EICMA 2024 in Milan provided a closer look at its innovative design and features.

Striking Design Elements

The e Vitara boasts a bold and rugged design, characterized by thick cladding, prominent wheel arches, and Y-shaped LED headlamps. Its connected LED taillamps and a sturdy rear bumper enhance its robust aesthetic. Additionally, the charging port is conveniently located on the front left fender, while the rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillar, lending a sleek and modern touch to its profile.

Feature-Rich Interior

Inside, the e Vitara promises a tech-forward cabin packed with premium features. Highlights include dual dashboard screens, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and cruise control. The inclusion of a 360-degree camera and an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function ensures convenience and safety. Furthermore, the SUV is equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite, offering advanced driver assistance capabilities for a safer driving experience.

Performance and Powertrain Options

The e Vitara will come with two battery pack options: a 49kWh unit and a 61kWh unit. The 49kWh battery will power a 2WD configuration, while the 61kWh option offers versatility with both 2WD and 4WD drivetrains. The 4WD variant will feature Maruti’s proprietary ALLGRIP-e 4WD system, delivering enhanced traction and control for diverse driving conditions.

With its cutting-edge features, dynamic design, and multiple powertrain options, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market. As anticipation builds for its official debut in 2025, the e Vitara marks a pivotal step in Maruti Suzuki’s journey towards sustainable mobility solutions.
