Tomorrow, the Suzuki eVX will make its debut in Milan, marking a significant milestone for the Japanese automaker as its first battery electric vehicle (BEV). Scheduled for launch in India in 2025, the eVX will be manufactured at Suzuki’s facility in Gujarat, which will also serve as the production hub for a corresponding Toyota model, set to release in the same year.

First introduced at the 2023 Auto Expo, the eVX boasts a length of 4.3 meters and is expected to have a wheelbase of approximately 2.6 meters. Suzuki has confirmed that this electric SUV will deliver an impressive range of 550 kilometers, powered by a 60kWh battery. A more advanced prototype was unveiled at the Japanese Mobility Show in 2023, showcasing a refined interior and a design that is closer to what consumers can expect in the final production version.

The eVX is a crucial advancement for Suzuki as it aims to penetrate the compact SUV electric vehicle market. It will face competition from various models, including the Tata Curvv EV, Honda Elevate EV, MG ZS EV, Tata Harrier EV, and MG Windsor EV.
