Following a series of teasers, spy shots, and camouflaged test drives, Skoda Auto India is gearing up to launch the all-new Kylaq for the Indian market. This compact SUV, under four meters in length, is built on Skoda’s MQB-A0-IN platform, the same foundation used for the Kushaq and Slavia models.
The Kylaq will enter a highly competitive segment, competing with models like the Mahindra XUV 300, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Renault Kiger. Powering the Kylaq will be a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine, delivering 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual and a torque converter automatic.
Exterior highlights for the new Kylaq include a distinctive split headlamp design, full LED lighting, a signature multi-slat grille, black alloy wheels, pentagon-shaped taillights, roof rails, updated front and rear bumpers, and a redesigned tailgate. Inside, the Kylaq is expected to offer a range of premium features, including a touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and a virtual cockpit display.
The Kylaq’s launch will solidify Skoda’s presence in India’s SUV segment, where the brand aims to make an impact with style, advanced features, and robust engineering.
