Triumph Motorcycles has sparked excitement with a new teaser video posted on its official Instagram account. The 10-second clip reveals minimal details, showing only the number “800” and the iconic “Triumph” badge on the fuel tank. While the short teaser leaves much to the imagination, it has generated significant speculation about the company’s next big launch.

Based on the teaser, it’s challenging to determine exactly which model Triumph is set to unveil. However, many believe it could be an updated version of the Street Triple. Currently powered by a 765cc engine, a bump to 800cc would allow Triumph to compete directly with Yamaha’s recently introduced R9. Additionally, the MT 09, a strong contender in the same segment, is expected to receive a major update soon, making it a potential rival to the new Street Triple.

There have also been rumors suggesting that the Trident 660 might get an 800cc engine upgrade. However, this seems unlikely. The Trident 660 was developed as an affordable, accessible middleweight motorcycle, and an increase in engine size would go against its core purpose. It’s more plausible that Triumph will focus on the Street Triple, which remains one of the brand’s flagship street bikes, making it the ideal candidate for the 800cc upgrade.

The official unveiling of Triumph’s new motorcycle is scheduled for October 22, and it will also make an appearance at the 2024 EICMA show. The India launch is expected to take place around mid-next year, with the model being available through all Triumph dealerships across the country.

As fans eagerly await more details, this upcoming release could mark a significant step in Triumph’s ongoing efforts to dominate the mid-weight street bike market.
