JSW MG Motor India has recently revealed the starting price of its latest all-electric vehicle, the Windsor EV. Alongside this, the company launched the innovative Battery as a Service (BaaS) program, aimed at reducing the upfront cost of the vehicle by offering a pay-per-use model for battery usage. Following its success, JSW MG Motor has now expanded this rental service to cover its entire electric vehicle range.

Currently, the automaker’s electric lineup consists of three models: Windsor, Comet, and ZS. The Comet and ZS models now also benefit from the BaaS program, with rental rates starting at Rs. 2.5/km for the Comet and Rs. 4.5/km for the ZS. The new acquisition prices for these vehicles are Rs. 4.99 lakh for the Comet and Rs. 13.99 lakh for the ZS (base variant, ex-showroom). Additionally, MG offers an assured buyback policy, guaranteeing 60% of the car’s value after three years of ownership.

Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer of JSW MG Motor India, commented on this program, stating, “The BaaS initiative has simplified EV ownership, making our models more accessible. With the Windsor receiving such a positive response under the BaaS program, we are now extending its benefits to the Comet and ZS. I believe this innovative approach will accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in India.”
