- Jawa 42 FJ Launched at Rs 1.99 Lakh
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles introduced the new Jawa 42 FJ, a sportier and more powerful model in the popular ‘42’ lineup, priced at Rs 1.99 lakh. The bike is powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 28.7bhp and 29.62Nm of torque. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch. Key features include LED lights, a USB charging port, and a digital instrument cluster in a single-pod design.
- Hero Splendor Plus Xtec with Front Disc Brake Launched
Hero Motocorp launched the first-ever Hero Splendor with a front disc brake, named the Splendor Plus Xtec. Priced at Rs 83,461, the bike gets a significant hardware upgrade with the new disc brake. However, the drum brake variant remains available at Rs 79,911. Apart from this, the bike retains its familiar design, engine, and features. The Splendor, being a household name, continues its long-standing legacy in the Indian market.
- Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 Launched
Bajaj launched a new variant of its electric scooter, the Chetak Blue 3202. This variant shares design and hardware features with its predecessors but comes with a 3.2kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of 137km and a top speed of 73kmph. The scooter offers one riding mode, a digital screen, and limited smartphone connectivity. As the latest addition to Bajaj’s growing electric vehicle portfolio, the Chetak Blue 3202 continues the brand’s push towards sustainable mobility.
- Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Ethanol Unveiled
Bajaj Auto unveiled its ethanol-powered Pulsar NS160 at the India Bio-Energy & Tech Expo 2024. This model is E100 compliant, meaning it can run entirely on ethanol. It also supports various blends of petrol and ethanol, making it a flex-fuel option. While not many details are available yet, it’s expected to share most of its hardware with the E20-compliant version of the NS160. Bajaj is already selling E27-compliant bikes in other markets, marking this as a step forward in biofuel adoption.
- 2025 TVS Apache RR 310 Spied with Winglets
A test mule of the upcoming TVS Apache RR 310 was recently spotted near the company’s facility, equipped with winglets. These are likely ornamental, but they suggest an update is on the horizon for the bike. TVS may also boost the power output of the RR 310 to match the Apache RTR 310’s performance. Currently, the RR 310 delivers 34bhp and 27.3Nm, while the RTR 310 produces 35bhp and 28.7Nm, hinting at potential upgrades for the new model.
