The Kia Clavis, a new compact SUV positioned between the Sonet and Seltos, is set to make its debut later this year, with a launch expected in early 2025. Recently spied testing, the Clavis offers a glimpse into its design and features, despite being camouflaged.

Exterior Design:
The Clavis sports an upright, tall stance with a boxy silhouette, reminiscent of the Sonet and Carens MPV. Key design elements include vertically stacked DRLs, pod-style headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, low-placed LED taillamps, and a large rear windscreen with a flat tailgate. Functional roof rails, squared wheel arches, and chunky cladding further enhance its SUV appeal.

Interior Features:
For the first time, the interior of the Clavis has been revealed. The flat-bottom steering wheel features a twin-spoke design with a dual-tone finish, along with controls for the media and instrument panel. Other notable elements include auto wipers, an off-center Kia logo, twin displays for infotainment and the driver’s display, and physical controls for the infotainment system.

Powertrain:
Mechanically, the Clavis is likely to share its powertrain options with the Kia Sonet. This includes a 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, all available with both manual and automatic transmission options.

With its blend of modern design, advanced features, and versatile powertrain options, the Kia Clavis is poised to make a strong entry into the competitive compact SUV segment.
