While we eagerly await the official pricing announcement for the performance-oriented Tata Altroz Racer, select dealerships across the country have begun accepting bookings. Set to rival the Hyundai i20 N Line, the Altroz Racer will be launched by mid-June. Customers can secure their bookings with a token amount of Rs. 21,000.
According to our sources, the Altroz Racer will be offered in two variants, both powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. There are also expectations for a DCA (DCT) gearbox option. Derived from the Nexon, this engine delivers 118bhp and 170Nm of peak torque.
In terms of features, the Altroz Racer will be well-equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, cruise control, and an all-digital instrument cluster. Additional features include a wireless charger, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree surround camera, and an electrically adjustable single-pane sunroof.
Overall, the Tata Altroz Racer promises to combine sporty performance with a suite of advanced features, making it a compelling choice for enthusiasts in the performance hatchback segment.
