Tata Motors has officially teased the highly anticipated Altroz Racer for the first time, with plans to launch the performance hatchback in the Indian market by mid-June. Positioned to compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line, the Altroz Racer has already generated excitement with its known powertrain and feature details. Expect bookings for the model to open soon.
The standout feature of the Tata Altroz Racer is its impressive powertrain. It will be equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. This engine delivers 118bhp and 170Nm of peak torque, matching the performance of the Hyundai i20 N Line’s 1.0-litre turbo engine.
Unveiled at both the Auto Expo 2023 and the Bharat Mobility Show 2024, the Altroz Racer promises an array of features. It will boast a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, multiple drive modes, a digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and an electrically adjustable sunroof.
To distinguish itself from the standard Altroz, the Racer edition will sport a unique design with a blacked-out hood, roof, ORVMs, pillars, and alloy wheels. The sporty look will be further accentuated by twin white stripes on the roof and hood. Inside, the cabin will feature a dynamic black and red theme with white accents, underscoring the hatchback’s sporty character.
This combination of performance, advanced features, and striking design elements makes the Tata Altroz Racer a highly anticipated addition to the performance hatchback segment.
