Tata Motors unveiled the Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT models in India, priced from Rs. 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom). These are the country’s first CNG cars to feature an AMT gearbox. The automaker has now disclosed the fuel efficiency ratings for these models.
Both vehicles are equipped with a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine generating 85bhp and 113Nm of torque. In CNG mode, the engine produces 72bhp and 95Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed AMT gearbox, achieving a claimed fuel efficiency of 28.06km/kg.
Additionally, Tata has introduced new color options such as Tornado Blue for the Tiago, Grassland Beige for the Tiago NRG, and Meteor Bronze for the Tigor.
Tata currently offers four CNG cars in India, including the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, and Punch. Furthermore, the automaker is developing the CNG variant of the Nexon facelift, showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo.
