Porsche India has introduced its second electric vehicle in the Indian market, unveiling the Macan Turbo EV, marking the brand’s inaugural fully electric SUV. Globally available in two trims, Macan 4 and Macan Turbo, the latter is now available in the country with a price tag of Rs. 1.65 crore (ex-showroom). Enthusiasts can secure their bookings for this electric SUV, with deliveries scheduled to commence in the second half of 2024.

Visually, the electric Macan closely resembles its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) counterpart. Notable features include distinctive four-point LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), split LED headlamps, frameless doors, a connected LED bar at the rear, coupe-style body, and 22-inch alloy wheels.

Internally, the Porsche Turbo EV boasts a curved 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display, physical buttons for air conditioning controls, a heads-up display, and an optional 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger. Additional features encompass optional rear-wheel steering with a maximum angle of five degrees, Porsche Active Suspension Management, and Porsche Traction Management.

Built on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with 800-volt architecture, the Macan Turbo EV SUV draws power from a 100kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP-claimed range of up to 591km. With a 270kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10-80 percent in approximately 21 minutes. The dual-motor setup on both axles delivers an impressive 630bhp and 1130Nm of torque, propelling the SUV from 0-100kmph in just 3.3 seconds.
