Volkswagen has launched the Tiguan Allspace in India today just after a few weeks of its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is priced at Rs. 33.12 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India). The price is introductory and the Tiguan Allspace is a 7-seater and is a full import.
It replaces the Tiguan (5-seat) but shares a lot of common things in terms of design. But the Tiguan Allspace is longer in length and also has a longer wheelbase which has resulted in the addition of a third row.
As it comes in a single-fully-loaded variant, it features full-LED headlights with DRLs, LED taillights, panoramic sunroof, Vienna leather seats, Active Info Display will fully digital instrument cluster, three-zone automatic climate control, hands-free boot opening, reverse parking camera, park assist, etc.
It is offered with only one engine option which is a 2L TSI turbo-petrol engine, that churns out 187.7 BHP @ 4200 rpm and 320 Nm @ 1500-4100 rpm. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG auto transmission which sends power to the car’s all four wheels via VW’s 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system.
In terms of safety, it gets 7-airbags including a driver knee airbag, safety-optimized front headrest, hill descent control, tyre-pressure monitoring system.
It is available in orange, white, blue, black, grey, red and silver colours.
