The 2024 Jeep Meridian has received a significant update, now available in both five- and seven-seat configurations. In addition to a refreshed design, Jeep has introduced a highly anticipated Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) package, enhancing safety and driver assistance features. Perhaps the most notable change is the reduced pricing, giving the Meridian a more competitive edge in its segment.

The 2024 Jeep Meridian is offered in four variants, available in eight color options, and powered by a single diesel engine. Here’s the updated pricing structure:
- Jeep Meridian Longitude: ₹24.99 lakh

- Jeep Meridian Longitude Plus AT: ₹30.49 lakh

Jeep Meridian vs. Competitors
Toyota Fortuner
The Toyota Fortuner falls around the mid-point in the Meridian’s pricing structure, despite offering a petrol manual transmission (MT) option. The Toyota Fortuner 4X2 diesel MT and 4X2 diesel AT are priced similarly to the Jeep Meridian Overland AT and Overland 4X4 AT variants. While the Fortuner is larger and commands a higher price, the Meridian boasts more features, especially in terms of comfort and driver assistance technologies.
MG Gloster
At the price of the entry-level MG Gloster Sharp seven-seat AT, you can opt for the fully-loaded Jeep Meridian Overland 4X4 AT, the most expensive variant in the Meridian lineup. The Gloster, while larger and feature-packed, lacks 4X4 capability in its base model, which the Meridian offers. For the Gloster’s 4X4 version, you’d need to spend over ₹5 lakh more than the entry-level variant, making the Meridian a more affordable 4X4 option with advanced features, including the new Level 2 ADAS.
Hyundai Tucson
With Jeep lowering the Meridian’s prices, the entire Hyundai Tucson range now directly competes with it. Both SUVs offer similar features, but the Tucson comes in a petrol variant and is limited to a five-seat configuration. Hyundai’s diesel engine outperforms the Meridian in terms of both power and torque, but the Meridian offers more versatility with its seating options and a competitive feature set.
The price cuts and feature upgrades make the 2024 Jeep Meridian a strong contender in the premium SUV market, offering better value and advanced safety tech compared to its key rivals.
