The Mercedes-AMG GT R Coupe has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 2.48 crores (ex-showroom). This new model is the range-topping and high-performance variant of the GT line-up in the Indian market.
The brand’s fastest production car just gets a few exterior and interior cosmetic changes which include new LED headlights and taillights, slightly re-designed AMG performance exhaust with a titanium centre exhaust and rear diffuser, side air curtains, AMG Performance steering wheel in black DINAMICA microfiber, 12.3″ digital instrument cluster and an Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible 10.25″ infotainment system.
Mechanically it remains to be unchanged and still packs a 4L, V8, Biturbo engine under its hood. The motor is mated to 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT dual-clutch transmission. It produces 585 BHP and 700 Nm of torque. It does 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.6 seconds and top outs at 318 km/h.
Other key features of the Mercedes-AMG GT R Coupe include AMG Ceramic High-Performance brakes, AMG Ride Control suspension, Rear Axle Steering and 19″/20″ 5-twin spoke alloy wheels.
It is also offered under the Star Ease Compact Package by the brand.
The price of the vehicle is ex-showroom, India, except for the state of Kerala.
