2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport Facelift has been launched in India at Rs. 57.06 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). It gets two BS-VI compliant engines and is offered in two variants – S and R-Dynamic SE.
The Discovery Sport is based on a new platform – Premium Transverse Architecture, that is shared with the new, second-gen Range Rover Evoque. Its exterior design has been revised and it gets new and sporty front and rear bumpers, revised LED headlights and taillights, and a tweaked front grille.
Along with the exterior, the interior of the SUV has also been updated. It comes with a larger infotainment system, fully-digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel, and other features like clear sight review view monitor, Terrain Response 2, WiFi hotspot, wireless charging, etc.
The Discovery Sport Facelift comes with BS-VI compliant, 2L Petrol and Diesel Ingenium engines. The 2L turbo-petrol engine (P250) comes with a 48V mild-hybrid system and produces 245 BHP and 365 Nm of torque. The 2L diesel engine (D180) puts out 177 BHP and 430 Nm of torque. Both these engines are mated to a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system as standard.
The safety kit includes – 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, emergency brake assist, roll stability control, a drowsiness monitor, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors and hill ascent and descent control.
The D180 S trim is priced at Rs. 57.06 lakhs and the D180 R-Dynamic SE trim is priced at Rs. 60.89 lakhs, all prices are ex-showroom, India. The prices for the petrol variants will be announced at a later stage. The car will continue to offer 5+2 seater configuration on both the variants.
