2020 Datsun redi-GO Launched In India At Rs. 2.83 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom)

All new Datsun redi-GO has been launched in India at introductory prices of Rs. 2.83 lakhs for the Manual Transmission and Rs. 4.77 lakhs for the Automatic Transmission, both prices are ex-showroom. It is the facelifted model that features BS6 compliant engines. 

The new redi-GO gets redesigned exteriors and interiors. It gets a bold new design and features new elements like full chrome surrounds, L-shape DRLs, new headlights, LED fog lamps, 14” wheels with Pentablade Dual Tone Wheel covers, LED taillights, and door trim with fabric. 

On the inside, it gets a dual-tone dashboard that includes brushed gunmetal finish, best-in-class 8” touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Mechanically it continues to be powered with the same 800cc and 1000cc engines, but they are updated to comply with the BS6 emission norms. The 0.8L engine puts out 53 BHP at 5600 rpm and 72 Nm of torque at 4250 rpm and it is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the 1L motor is offered in both MT and AMT. It churns out 67 BHP at 5500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4250 rpm.

On the safety front, it features a strong crash-resistant body structure, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rearview camera with Projection guide.

The new redi-GO is available in four 0.8L Manual Transmission variants – D, A, T, and T(O), and two 1L variants – Manual Transmission and Smart Drive Auto (AMT) T(O).
