BMW India has expanded its 5-Series lineup by launching an entry-level 530i Sport variant at a price tag of Rs. 55.40 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The new 530i Sport is placed below the 530i M-Sport and the 5-Series is now offered in 4 variants – 2 petrol and 2 diesel.
The new 530i Sport is powered by a BS-VI compliant, 2L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that powers the 530i M-Sport. It produces 252 BHP @ 5200 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1450-4800 rpm. All the power is sent to the rear wheels of the car via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox. It also features driving modes – Comfort, Sport, ECO PRO and Sport+.
The BMW 530i Sport gets a lot of features like adaptive LED headlights, 12.3″ MID, 10.25″ touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, navigation & Gesture Control and BMW’s display key. In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, Active Park Distance Control, DSC with DTC, Cornering Brake Control, Hill Descent Control, Side Impact Protection, Electronic Vehicle Immobiliser, Crash Sensor and Integrated Emergency Spare Wheel.
