Ducati Hypermotard 950 which was unveiled at EICMA 2018, has been launched in India at Rs. 11.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). It replaces the Hypermotard 939 in India.
The Hypermotard 950 is powered by the same 937cc motor that powered the Hypermotard 939. It produces 114 BHP and 96 Nm of torque. The power outputs have been increased by 4 BHP and 1 Nm due to an increase in its compression ratio that has gone up from 12.6:1 to 13.3:1.
The engine is tuned in such a way that it now produces 80% of its peak torque at 3000rpm. It also gets new hydraulic clutch, new exhaust valve timing, new injection control unit and a 53mm throttle body.
The bike’s weight has been reduced from 181kg to 178kg due to the reduction in thickness of its steel trellis frame. The standard 950 features a fully adjustable Marzocchi USD fork at front and Sachs monoshock at the rear, while the SP gets fully adjustable Ohlins shocks at both front and rear.
On the safety side, the 950 gets Riding Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS , Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO. The bike also features the underseat exhaust exits that replaces the single barrel side-slung unit.
The showrooms have already started to take bookings for this motorcycle across the country.
