The British automaker, Aston Martin has launched the 2019 Vantage in India at a price tag of Rs. 2.95 crore (ex-showroom, pan-India).
This new Vantage is the next-gen model and a successor to the previous Vantage which had been in production for 12 years. In terms of design, this new Vantage takes it design to a whole new level. It gets its design cues from the Vulcan and the DB11. The bigger front grille and small headlights give it an aggressive look from the front while the connected taillights at the rear make the rear look sharper.
The Vantage also shares its bonded-aluminium platform with the DB11 and gets around 70% new components for its structure. On the inside, it gets leather sports seats, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, park assist, and front and rear parking sensors.
Under the hood, it gets a 4L, twin-turbo, V8 petrol engine that has been sourced from Mercedes-Benz. It produces 503 BHP @6000 rpm and 685 Nm of torque @ 2000-5000 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox and the engine is placed far back with the chassis to achieve to achieve the 50/50 front and rear weight distribution. 0-100 km/h sprint comes up in 3.6 seconds, and this car can do a top speed of 314 km/h (claimed).
Bookings for the 2019 Vantage are now open, and deliveries will begin in the next 4 months. The company plans to sell 15-20 units of the new Vantage by the end of 2019.
