Mercedes launches its 2016 GLE in India and it is basically a replacement version for M-Class with GLE nomenclature which carries the DNA of the G-Class SUV. The GLE will be available in two variants viz. 350d and 250d. The GLE 250d is priced at Rs. 58.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the GLE 350d is priced at Rs. 69.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Over 1.6 million of GLE have been produced and the GLE is the best selling SUV globally as well in India with more than 6,100 units sold in India till date.
GLE gets a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission with DIRECT SELECT lever, AIRMATIC package with air suspension and 4MATIC permanent All-Wheel-Drive System with Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR).
The Dynamic Select feature in the car lets the driver to choose between five different modes – Comfort, Sport, Slippery, Individual and Off-road. The GLE is also best in convenience as it features Memory Package, COMAND Online with New Generation Telematics, Touchpad, Parking Package with 360°Camera, Easy Pack Tailgate, Thermotronic (3 Zone) climate control, Keyless GO Start/Stop.
On Safety side, GLE gets ESP® with Curve Dynamic Assist, Crosswind Assist, Brake Assistance System, Attention Assist, Active Parking Assist, PRE-SAFE®, 6 airbags.
