Today, in the last month of this year and with its 15th and final launch, Mercedes-Benz India has launched the facelift version of the A-Class at Rs. 24.95 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The car is launched in both petrol and diesel variants: A 180 Sport and A 200 d Sport. This new facelift version gets minor tweaks on the both inside and outside. It also gets a new revised features list.
On the exterior side, it gets newly designed front and rear angular bumpers, optional LED headlamps with DRL eyebrows, new LED tail lights with new graphics and new integrated angular-tipped exhausts, panoramic sliding sunroof, new alloy wheels and the car also gets the diamond grille as standard now. It also gets a new Elbaite Green paint option.
On the inside, the A-Class facelift gets the same layout but gets new seat upholstery, colour options and use of materials throughout the interior. The switches are new, infotainment system is now an 8-inch touch-screen display that comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink system for smartphone integration.
In the engine bay sits the same engine which is a 1.6L turbocharged, 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces 120 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. The diesel engine variant is a 2.1L, 4-cylinder mill which is tuned to produce 134 BHP and 300 Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard with the paddle shifters on steering wheel. The car also gets revised suspension setup for enhanced comfort while on the move. Transmission modes – Economy, Sport and Manual are offered as standard on this car. Cruise control and speedtronic too are present.
The A 180 Sport (Petrol) is priced at Rs. 24.95 lakhs and the A 180 d Sport (Diesel) is priced at Rs. 25.95 lakhs. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai.
